This really isn't a critique because this is too good and real cool and i love it so much. So maybe just on ones like ones eating add other dinosaurs envying him(or her),I don't know maybe that wouldn't look good. The impact and technique isn't great just because you have better ones like the Tyrannosaurus Rex on a Watering Hole with the really cool ways of shading though this one has cool shading too. The Vision is real cool because the water it is amazing absuloutly(lol i can't spell) amazing, I'm really bad so yeah, the fish that he is eating is cool too. BTW this is one of the best pictures ever.
What do you think?

is it just the spinosaur that's 3d in this pic or is the environment too?

What kind of fish does it have in its claws? Or is it just a random fish? I've been trying to make it out because I'm trying to research fish that would've been prey for spinosaurids

Hi there
This is just some random fish I designed for the purpose. I looked at the Arapaima as some sort of reference point for my design.

Very realistic scene, I'm impressed :-)

As for the color - who knows how they are colored? maybe that was so colorful as yours, and not gray as it used to be depicted.

I really like

Posing and the water looks pretty good,
but the lighting seems to be a bit off...
It seems there are a few shadows missing on his body and the bright spots on his
nose don't fit either since the light is shining from behind.
Other than that nice detailing and choice of background :)

Baryonyx is a great dinosaur ! But, it shouldn't be covered in feathers ?
It's less sexy but it's the fault of scientists who discovered it...

I don't understand what I see. What's with the dino's upper jaw? It looks split in half: the front half white/red, the back half blue/red (front and back from our perspective, left and right from the dino's).

Check out Suchomimus skull skeleton, you might get an idea why i did it the way I did it.

I see. Still I would say that the skulls have a wave in the jawline, while your rendering shows a cleft. Look at the dark shadow running up from the jaw towards the nose – it is an outline, implying a deep recess. If that's what you wanted then that's what you wanted and I have no quarrel with that. I only believe that that is unrealistic: compare the skull of the suchomimus ([link]) with the head of a crocodile ([link]). The front part of their upper jaw has the same structure, both with the "wave" at the side and the "bulb" at the front. There is no cleft, no protruding "flaps" at the sides, and the "bulb" is not narrow (as in your image) but broad.

This is the same dinosaur, rendered from different angle, maybe you can see here that this cleft you are referring to is not so deep after all, it just seems like it cos of shadows or whatever.
Tho' Im really happy to receive constructive criticism at all times, thank you for that. This visualization of mine aint perfect by all means, It could be improved much more.

You keep blowing my mind, man!
Did you make the scenery or is it taken from real life?
The dinosaur blends really well near the feet but I don't know near the head and back. It is very close to avatar and the shiny glossy aspect makes it pop out and looks like a layer.
I think it goes really well in the picture anyway :D I want to be as good as you some day! I keep practicing!

Go go awesome dinosaur guy!

Hi mate,
Thank you. Yeah, I was doing some test renders, and since the animal is in water, I chose some extra glossiness, but I guess i haven't completely managed to blend it in with lighting and all.
Background is mostly digital matte paint, seamless compositing of bunch of photos..I dont have patience in creating environment completely digitally. I rather take my Canon and get lost in woods over weekends ;D
