I saw the "Life of Pi" yesterday and all I can say is I loved it and enjoyed the story and the visuals very much.
I was compelled to practice my speed painting by painting tiger named Richard Parker in photoshop. Uploaded version is with "maximum" filter applied.
I loved the part where his name is explained, If you havent read the book or saw the movie, dont read this part cos it contains spoiler.. His name was given by mistake, originally he was to be called "Thirsty" , but upon his arrival in the Zoo, paperwork got mixed up and he ended up with the name of the person who caught him.

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

Lovely painting! I watched the movie two weeks ago, and it's one of the most beautiful movies I've seen. Everything was so aesthetically pleasing, and I love Richard Parker.
