Quetzalcoatlus by damir-g-martin Quetzalcoatlus by damir-g-martin
Quetzalcoatlus, one of the largest avian reptiles that ever flew the earths skies. According to wikipedia, the most recent research about this animal shows us that its wingspan was around 10-12 meters. Almost the size of a Standard Class Glider. Iv'e built the original model for Sinking Ship Entertainment. This is the further personal development of that model where I've changed the color and added fur. I'm still trying to further develop the fur layer.

One beautiful pterosaur! The only thing I'm not a fan on, is the claw on the wing tip. Other then that it's fantastic.

This is super beautiful and it would make me love Quetzalcoatlus if it wasn't something right out of my nightmares.

makes you wonder how it was able to keep it's balance with a head that big.

The proportions don't seem to be accurate, this is another genus

but highlights more accurately the morphology of Azhdarchids.

Also is it possible that we could see the model in zbrush without the polypaint/texture? I'm curious. :D

So jealous. I've always had a tough time with wing membranes in zbrush. You pulled it off spectacularly. And the SSS is just right!
I'm curious, did you retopo in zbrush or in another program?

Dont be please :) Yes, I use Zbrush retopo, the best retopo imo. Especially with the new features and q remesher.

Hi Vlad, yes, it should be used in DD kids show. Tho, not this version, the one that is more colorful is going into DD. This is me pushing the model further in terms of color and fur. Not sure if the DD version will have fur or not.

Based on a skeleton photos and drawings. The animal appears to have the head out of proportions cos of the long beak. And when folded, its wings are also looking to be out of proportion.

There is a theorie that it didn't fly at all. Reason for this theory is it's mostly related to the animals weight that is hard to make correct estimation based on the incomplete fossil findings and the sheer size of the animal.
